City of Oakland Procurement Summit — March 1, 2010

GSA-OAP participated in staffing a table at the City of Oakland Procurement Summit held at City Hall. The theme was Solving Community Problems, Leveraging & Connecting Opportunities. Simultaneous panel discussions included Access to Capital-Bonding & Finance, Small Business Certifications, and Contracting Opportunities for small and emerging businesses.

Participants included Alameda County GSA-OAP and the Auditor Controller-Office of Contract Compliance (OCC), California State DGS and DOT, U.S. Small Business Administration, CALTRANS, Oakland Unified School District, Port of Oakland, Oakland Housing Authority, Turner Construction Company, Webcor Builders, Yerba Buena Engineering and Construction and Alan Doans. Supervisor Keith Carson and Mayor Ron Dellums were in attendance. Panel discussions were followed by workshops, networking and a reception.
