A message from:
Board of Supervisors
Susan S. Muranishi, County Administrator
July 24, 2020
As the COVID-19 health emergency continues, we hope that you and your family are healthy and extend our deep appreciation and gratitude for your dedication and commitment to continue providing critical services to our communities.
The health and safety of our valued County employees remains our top priority as we continue to advance policies and procedures that support our workforce during the health emergency.
As an added safety measure to protect the health and safety of all of our County employees, the Board of Supervisors has endorsed the attached countywide Self-Screening Assessment Policy ("Policy") requiring all employees reporting on-site to perform a mandatory daily health self-screening assessment effective Monday, July 27, 2020. The County's Labor Relations team has extended offers to all employee organizations to meet and confer regarding this Policy and such discussions are currently underway.
The Self-Screening Assessment tool includes several questions to help you assess whether you have potentially contracted COVID-19. The instructions are as follows:
We strongly encourage you to be mindful of the health self-screening assessment questions each work day and not to report to work unless you will be able to answer "No" to each question at the start of your work shift upon arrival to the workplace. If you have any questions regarding the Policy, please contact your immediate supervisor and/or your Agency/Department Human Resources contact.
We appreciate your ongoing cooperation and partnership as we continue working together to maintain a healthy and safe workplace for all our valued employees. Please remember to wash your hands often, social distance and wear a mask or face covering as you continue to help save lives.
